THORNVILLE, Ohio (CelebrityAccess) The Lost Lands Music Festival, a bass music festival presented by Excision in Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio, Sept. 14-16, has confirmed two deaths.

The festival featured acts like Fux Pavilion, Ganja White Night, Illenium, Jauz, and Nero over two main stages. The event had one unique setback when a massive stage prop, a volcano, caught fire causing a temporary shutdown, according to Billboard. The two attendees were sent to hospitals before being pronounced dead; no further information was available.

“Today we send our deepest thoughts and condolences to the loved ones of two male attendees who passed away after being transported to local hospitals this weekend,” Excision said in a statement. ”While the causes of these tragedies are still unknown, our hearts are with their families and friends at this time.”

The statement added that there are more than 2,000 team members attendees can approach “to ask for help if needed.”

EDMsauce.com noted that the festival included intense heat (“drug consumption could have very well turned deadly without the help of adulterants”) and the internet pointed to fentanyl as the culprit.

The website said the four-day bass extravaganza was “plagued with rumors of a high count of deaths on festival grounds” but did not provide any links saying only “some where confirmed by family members.” The website said one woman who posted a picture of her husband from their wedding at Electric Forest, saying he passed away at the festival (but, again, no link provided).
