With over 10 years of reality TV work under her belt, former Playboy model Laura Alicia Summers (best known for her stint on series 3 of MTV’s Ex on the Beach) talks to CelebMix exclusively following her appearance on Botched this week.

You’ve appeared on a lot of different reality TV shows. What has been your best experience to date and why?

I absolutely loved “Dirty Cows” in 2005. The production team were amazing, the cast were amazing. I made some really good close friends and the tasks were really fun. I got to do so many things I wouldn’t usually get to do; things like clay pigeon shooting and driving a tractor. The show also taught me a lot about myself, and about the world as I was only 21 years old at the time.

As a former Playboy model the news of Hugh Hefner’s passing in 2017 must have been devastating on a personal level. How do you remember him?

I will always remember Hugh as fun and kind and sweet. He always used to love watching black and white movies and would wear a red dinner jacket or pyjamas no matter what time of the day it was. He was an icon and will always be a legend. I’m so honoured to have met him and to have posed for Playboy.

You met Ali Drew whilst starring on Ex on The Beach back in 2015. This series also featured Jemma Lucy and Megan McKenna. How was that experience for you?

I’m glad that I did Ex on The Beach for one reason and one reason only; that I got to meet my best friend Ali. I absolutely hated everything else. Megan McKenna was a nightmare. I couldn’t wait to get away from her.

I’m glad I did a series that a lot of people made it big from. I was definitely in the best series. A lot of people made the most out of their five minutes of fame.

What made you decide to take Ali Drew with you for your episode of Botched?

I took Ali with me to America because she is one of my best friends and we get on like a house on fire. I don’t think we’ve ever had an argument in the four years we’ve known each other. We’re really close and I knew it would be a fun trip if I brought her along.

What was your experience of Botched like?

My experience on Botched wasn’t very good. We were treated badly by the production team and really overworked. Considering we had to travel 11 hours there and 11 hours back, we were hardly given any rest time. Once we had finished filming we made sure we got in a bit of sight-seeing which kind of made up for their behaviour towards us, but I got really poorly which meant I had to say in America longer.

What has been your biggest TV regret and what advice have you given to yourself as a result of this.

I would say my biggest regret is believing what some TV companies tell you. They sell you the dream and you don’t really think that they could be lying.

On your episode of Botched you mentioned that you were addicted to plastic surgery. Despite both Ali Drew and the surgeon’s admiration for how your look and concerns of possible issues that result from further cosmetic work, do you think you will get more surgery this year? What is your reason for this decision?

I think the next surgery I will get will be a facelift. Obviously I want to get my eyes fixed as they were botched by a surgeon in the UK. I love surgery and I am totally addicted. I’ll always get plastic surgery but I’ll always look good with it.

What other celebrities with plastic surgery do you admire, and on the flip-side what celebrities do you think have gone too far, and why?

There are loads of celebrities with plastic surgery who I love. Kim Kardashian is my favourite. Her look is so sexy but classy at the same time. I love the way she changes her style with wigs. Kylie Jenner is also a firm favourite of mine and I love Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox.

What TV shows, other than Botched, are you currently tuning in to?

I love The Real Housewives franchise. Beverly Hills is my favourite and Atlanta is a close second. I also love anything to do with Marvel and DC Comics. I’m a huge comic book geek and I’ve collected them for years.

What are your hopes for 2019?

I’m looking to try something new this year. In the next five years though I’d like to get married, have kids and get some more dogs.
