Live Nation Set To Debut New Nashville Amphitheatre

NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation announced the details for a new naming rights partner and for the opening of Ascend Amphitheater; and announced the artist lineup for their first summer concert season at the new venue.

The new, state-of-the-art amphitheater located on Nashville's West Riverfront Park, has a capacity of 6,800, including 2,300 reserve and 4,500 lawn seating. The debut concert at the venue will be a July 30th show by country performer Eric Church, with shows by Chicago & Earth Wind and Fire; Phish; Counting Crows with Citizen Cope and Hollis Brown; Sublime with Rome, Rebelution, Pepper and Mickey Avalon; The Smashing Pumpkins & Marilyn Manson and Steely Dan with special guest Elvis Costello also on the schedule for 2015.

Live Nation has entered a multi-year naming rights agreement with Ascend Federal Credit Union for the amphitheater. The full terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Nashville has retained Live Nation to operate the venue through 2025, with an agreement that allows for 30 events per year with an additional six symphony events and 10 civic events including 4th of July, New Year's Eve, CMA Fest and more. – Staff Writers
