Not only is Paxton is a multi-talented young man, who also does his own stunts, but he has a wide range of passions which make him a truly well rounded individual. When he’s not busy acting, Paxton enjoys riding BMX bikes, collecting Hot Wheels, Tim Burton Movies, and 80’s rock music. The young actor even cites the late David Bowie as his fashion inspiration and hopes to one day launch his own clothing line.

Hey Paxton, welcome to CelebMix. You’ll soon be starring in Disney Channel’s new TV show ‘Coop & Cami Ask The World’, where you’ll be playing Ollie Wrather. What can you tell us about your character and the show itself?

Thanks! Coop & Cami Ask The World is a family show that is about a single mom with four kids and a neighbor boy who acts like the fifth child of the family. Cooper (the oldest boy) has an online channel called “Would You Rather” where they ask their fans for help with everyday problems or which silly stunt the Wrathers should do that day. The whoIe family participates in the show and sometimes that makes it messy!

I play Ollie Wrather, the youngest of the Wrather family. He’s a super fun character to play because he says whatever is on his mind! Ollie is also the “test pilot” for the “Would You Rather” online show.

From the sneak peek available online, we saw that you had to take a sink bath in leftovers, ew! How was that experience for you?

It was actual leftovers from lunch on set the day before! It was fun, but gross at the same time. Everyone was on hand with wipes and towels to help me clean my hands and face in between takes. It smelled so bad that I showered twice! When the scene was done the stunt coordinator picked me up and had me stand in a giant trash bag up to my neck. He then carried me directly to my trailer so I could shower!

You star alongside Ruby Rose Turner, Dakota Lotus and more – what were they like to work with?

I’m so lucky to work with a group of such talented people. I’ve learned a lot from my castmates and they are always willing to give me advice when I ask. They’re also not afraid to goof around with me on set in between takes. I’m the youngest on set, so I look up to all of them like they are family.

What was your most memorable/funniest moment on set?

I don’t want to give the surprise away from one of the episodes, but I ride a large animal into the scene. There was a cake on set and the animal I was riding took off towards it and started eating it! I tried to stop him, but he looked like he was really enjoying it!

Your character is described as fearless and enthusiastic, and we hear that you actually carried out some of your own stunts on set! What was your favorite stunt to do?

Without giving too much away, I’ve spent some time in the air, hanging from things, showering in food, covered in balloons, and even running into walls.  All the stunts have been really fun to do, and of course they are all safely done under the supervision of our super cool stunt coordinator. My favorite so far has been ziplining across the living room!

Despite only being 8 years old, you’ve been acting since you were 2 and a half, with guest roles in shows including ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’, and ‘The Real O’Neals’. What’s been your favorite role to date?

Brooklyn Nine-Nine for sure! I got to shoot an awesome scene with Andy Samberg and Terry Crews. Every take was completely different. They had one take using their script and the rest were improvised. It was so hilarious I broke character a few times!

Let’s talk about some of your hobbies. We hear that you’re a big fan of Tim Burton movies. If you could star in a remake of any of his films, which one would you pick?

There’s so many I love, but Beetlejuice would be my first choice. I wouldn’t do a remake because you can’t touch the original! I think a whole new movie with me playing Beetlejuice’s son would be epic! Maybe it’s about him growing up in his dad’s footsteps? I’d be on board!

You’re also a fan of David Bowie. What’s your favorite David Bowie song?

I love David Bowie’s music and can’t pick a favorite, but to me he is a fashion icon. He wore whatever he wanted regardless of what people said. From the makeup to the wigs, to the crazy outfits – he wore what his music made him feel like. He was never afraid to be himself.

We hear that you’re inspired by his fashion sense. If you could create your own clothing line, what kind of items/patterns etc would it include?

I’m a big fan of patterns like stripes, plaids and animal print. I would like to create a more stylish line for kids that is affordable. Everything from suits to cardigans to jeans.

You’ve also got a collection of over 1000 Hot Wheels, how did you start taking an interest in automobiles?

When I was four my dad gave me his collection of Hot Wheels that he had when he was a kid. I fell in love with them right away. My dad has also built and owned hot rods over the years, and I’ve always loved tagging along to any car show I can go to with him. I’m sure I’ll have some life size Hot Wheels when I’m older too!

Finally, is there anything else you can tell us about what you have planned in the near future?

You’ll just have to wait and see. My future is just beginning!

Thank you to Paxton for his time. Keep up to date with him via Instagram.
